Entry Term 2025 French Departmental Scholarship
Eligible high school seniors and transfer students may apply for amounts ranging from $1,000 to $5000 per year. This distinguished departmental recognition can be added to any academic scholarship up to, but not exceeding, full tuition, and is renewable for up to eight semesters. Although many applicants may be qualified in multiple subject areas, each student may only apply for one departmental award.
Please note the deadline is December 15, 2024 at 11:59pm CST.
To apply for the French Department Scholarship, you must:
Apply for admission to the University of Dallas as a student entering during the 2025-2026 academic year
Complete this form
Have your high school French teacher submit a letter of recommendation to krcrnkovich@udallas.edu (or admissions@udallas.edu)
Schedule and complete an oral interview that may take place virtually or during an on-campus visit. The Campus Visit Coordinator will follow up with details on completing your interview.
Please note, a copy of your most recent high school transcript will be pulled from your general admission application and included in your scholarship application.

During your visit to UD you will interview with the French department and you will have the opportunity to sit in on a class.
If you are unable to travel to UD before December 15th, please type "Virtual" into the preferred visit day box. We will be in contact about setting up a Zoom or Google Meeting.
Please indicate when you would like to visit UD for your interview. Arrangements must be made a minimum of two weeks before the date you would like to be interviewed. Monday-Friday only. (Please email krcrnkovich@udallas.edu for more information about scheduling a visit.) This is not a confirmation of your visit date.
